![]() ![]() They love all the new content and that's fine too - I would just rather see the game be put to rest gracefully instead of only when everyone is truly sick of it. (I know some people will see it differently. The game has already peaked for me several patches ago, but that doesn't stop them from milking it more and more. I like the game a lot, but I can already feel I've had well enough of it and coming back to check out new content or knock out new achievements to get 100% back feels more and more like a chore than a treat. Who’s the Boss Update This patch brings 7 new weapons (one for each of the five bosses of Dead Cells, one for a certain really challenging fight, and a mystery one) thematically tied to Dead Cells. But given how substantially they've changed core game mechanics *after* leaving Early Access in the last two years, I think that ship has sailed and Dead Cells is shaping up to be yet another forever-game. Release date: September 9th 2019 (Europe, North America) / September 10th 2019 (Japan) Patch notes: Important features. Like with so many good games these days, they should quit while they're ahead and move to a sequel instead of patching the game to death. It's all just theories and lore and cliffhangers and meta-jokes. It's kind of the only consistency in the wafer-thin "story" of this game, that nothing is ever a clear definitive fact. The alchemist would go all over the island gathering research on what could be the origin of the malaise. The alchemist would use scientific means to find a cure for the malaise. ![]() Other than the timekeeper, was the alchemist. Dead Cells will never "end", it'll always loop back to the start with a non-ending. The timekeeper rewinds time to the same day to execute the infected and keep the malaise at bay, although this exhausted her. That and the whole game is all a huge procedurally generated loop. Look at the game's credits roll at the end of a run. Your mistake was believing the developer would ever finish the game. Originally posted by Notes:i mean if it is all but a cliffhanger and a teaser, it feels like it was a useless effort, like, is a teaser a real reward for beating lategame areas and a new final boss? i'll absolutely avoid venting in there, but i feel robbed to say the least, and in part because of that "ending".
